I've never heard Meemo, sounds silly.
English now being so widespread it is inevitable that pronunciation will differ and new words will appear regionally. That is a very good thing for the language. As for the American variety there are some very funny examples, be careful how you ask an American for a cigarette ! Their word for bum also raises eyebrows until you understand what they mean! Yep the Americans are ok -though US foreign policy stinks.

Who the hell says meemo? That sounds like some fluffy little tribble character name or something. And I don't say boogers or bogies, cause I think both are quite stupid. You gotta remember there are dozens of accents all across the USA.

They would say that we say memo instead of meemo - it's just a question of perspective.
But, yes, I love Americans, just hate the country's politics.

Haha...When will they learn to speak proper English? Probably never. Let's face it, English does not belong to the English anymore. It is now a world language.

People in Africa, the Carribean and Asia have infused vitality into the language by adding new words to fit their own cultures. That's the brilliant thing about the language.
