I am going to do a chemistry experiment that is about fuels.

My experiment is about burning food and use the energy produced to heat the water. Thus, I can use mc△T to calculate the energy of the food produced.

However, I have a question. I want to know how to reduce the heat loss so that I can ensure most of the heat energy produced by food can go into the water?

P.S. My experiment is like this.

i don't have very good hand/foot/eye cordination, so i'm prone to losing my balance if i'm not focused on walking. can i use hand weights and not end up in the emergency room? how?

You can find them playing live on youtube. I love the chilis and I think Anthony is a good writer and hot, but I dont think he has a good voice when he's singing. When they are playing live i love Anthony's voice. He sounds so rough. Give it away is so much better live.

In which era were the Beach Boys cool? Talk about 10 years too late (even for back then). It was obvious they were the cheapest 'celebrities' they could afford.

I use ammonia chips as part of my aquarium filter, the packaging describes how to recharge the chips so they may be used again but it does not say how often this should be done. I have no idea how long before the chips in the filter need replacing, any ideas? Thanks

I have been living in a 2 bed apt for about 6 months with another girl who I really do not get on well with. Unfortunately I can't really move out as we have been put in there by our company. This weekend without asking me she let her friend stay in my bed. She did wash the linen and remake the bed. But I am so annoyed that she didn't ask me even though she could perfectly well sms or call me. Also she will have seen some very confidental documents under my matress when remaking the bed, what do I do? How do I bring it up, do I go to HR and state what has happened and request a move? Ok so I am in college, and in one of my packed lecture classes of about 120 students, one guy will not stop glancing my way. It has been going on for a half a semester. I usually NEVER approach the guy first. so I do not know what to do. Every time we have class he glances over repeatedly and we catch each others eyes. Urgh..hes had a chance to come talk to me...

So should I just brush it off since he hasn't talked yet?

he died about 13 months ago he was my best mate in the world he was a huge red and white boxer....some ppl think its not normal to still miss him like he is only a dog .......he wasnt just a dog he was in our family........and when he passed away i still dont what he died off well the vets gave me there thoughts but i will never know......i guess it doesnt matter know i will be interested in other ppls views on this subject thanx vonn

Seriously I have heard that the Irish are meant to be so nice and welcoming when you visit etc, I have known a few N Irish but not any R Irish except one who turned out to be a nut case but I wouldn't judge a country on one person, however since reading some of the answers on this section I have come to realise that you Irish really do hate us English. Why is that I mean history is history fair enough but for Christ sake I haven't killed anyone so why the abuse! I am sorry but it is very disheartening reading some of it and I would say that I would never go to Ireland now because of it as you don't sound as welcoming as people say I would be afraid of getting attacked if I spoke and people realised I was English I think it is a shame as I have always wanted to Visit Ireland and see where some of my ancestors came from!

i work on saturdays in the same shop with me mum. there is this guy who is 18 and i totally fancy him. i dont know if he also fancies me but he is always being really nice to me. i dont know if its because of me mum, coz shes a manager there. how do i let him know that i like him without destroying our friendship??? when i asked him, he even gave me his msn. i know that 4 years is a big gap but i really love him. help!! any advice will do.
