In which era were the Beach Boys cool? Talk about 10 years too late (even for back then). It was obvious they were the cheapest 'celebrities' they could afford.

If you're asking when Full House began to "suck", I think it would be somewhere around the pilot episode.
I didn't see it, but my memories of that show are mostly of 10 pounds of cuteness in a five pound bag and a long string of unfunny "jokes" delivered machine-gun style by Bob Saget and the other two blokes whose names I don't remember.
The premise of the show was unoriginal and uninspired. The plots (as far as I can recall) were standard sit-com fare. It was made according to a tried-and-true formula that ran out of steam long before the first Full House episode was ever written.
The Beach Boys, of course, didn't make things any better, but wot are you going to expect from an aging has-been pop band? The entire concept was stale from the beginning, so I think the stale sounds of the '60s surf-music were actually pretty appropriate.
