I want to learn how to sew...I will need a sewing machine and I want a very basic, old style model. for some reason I think it would be best to learn on something very basic. One that is manual?

something like 50-100-200 years ago style....NOT VINTAGE, just simple....but that is inexpensive and will last a long time and not mess up my fabric. I want to master a simpler machine and develope skills and a few years down the line get a more modern one.

but for now, I would like a basic sewing machine. Can anyone reccomend one? It doesn't have to be by brand...I would rather go by price, and then simple model, then brand or whatever.

I am in a dilemma. I *promised* a guy friend of mine that I would go overseas to visit him. He's working there and has been asking me to go over. This is despite the fact that he already has a gf. I suppose he's bored and wants his friends to go over. But, these days, I find myself thinking the better of it. I don't feel like going. It's not that I don't trust him, but I want an end to this see sawing of feelings. At the same time, I have never been to the country and would love to do some sight seeing. Would you have gone if you were me?

Looking for hotel recomendations in Butuan. I have searched the internet and the nearest hotels that come up are in Cagayan de Oro. Maybe it's just me, maybe it's just the city I live in... but I don't think so. Why does the snow around trees melt the quickest? I've set regional settings to Australia and cell formats to dd-mm-yyyy, but still my typing is recognised in the American order and 3/1 (3rd Jan) becomes 1/3 in display. I can't 'cheat' and type backwards because I want to calculate between dates, and display then in the Australian date format. How can I get my dates to type AND display in Australian order?

I will work near the World Trade Center PATH station and need help on where to live. I will work long hours so the closer the better. I want to keep my car for weekend use and will use public transportation to commute to work. My budget is about $1500 (maybe a little more) and want a 1 bedroom and must have covered parking. Has it ever occurred to you that you may be dating your own xth cousin xth removed or the fact that you may be dating a person that is once the other gender when they are born?

After all, you have 4 grandparents, 8 g grandparents, 16 gg grandparents, 32 ggg grandparents, 64 gggg grandparents, and if anyone that is outside has the same gggg granddad number 4 (since you have 64 and there is no way that you can tell the difference), they are your cousin. and they might have more than 1 kid, so meaning there are much more chances that you may be dating your own xth cousin xth removed. There is no way that you can actually know which person used to be which gender also.
