what's in the whole package? it's not just about the music and how does this culture influence people's life?how do you recognize it?

rock and roll is the type of music that makes you want to be different. rebel with a rebel yell, if you've ever heard the song. it is my kind of thing and many others and once you get into it you can't give it up. if you truly love the music than it becomes a craving, a passion. its your life and love and for many people it takes you away and makes you forget about all other bull s***. its harmony. other different types of music, not to affend anyone or be a prude, because i definitely am not, they speak of nothing but sex and drugs and violence and gangs. its depressing.

Rock and Emo go hand in hand. they listen to metal music, wear as much black as they can, are very unique and confident ( at least in front of people) very creative, usually draw or paint, have a deep side to them, are better then most preps.. ( no offense)
