When enough time has past that I know it's not infatuation, when I can't stop thinking about something we did together and how I just loved her response to something we saw or did, and when I feel comfortable enough to firmly tell her "I love you."

I once went to a relationship counsellor who said that love was patient and enduring whilst infatuation is always in a hurry. EG:
2 people who had recently met went to get married one evening, naturally the woman,Stunning but a tad religious, refused to have sex untill they wed, upon arrival they found they needed a license from the council and it was late Friday. The preacher said come back Monday. The Groom, looking somewhat desperate,asked ; could you just say a few words over us to tide us over the weekend. Love or Infatuation???
Of course there is the other way of knowing when youre in love, Thats when she smacks you on the tail and says "youre in love"

I remember when i found out i was in love. I couldnt sleep or eat or even breathe when i was away from this girl. Every time we were around i could feel my heart beat faster. It was like time slowed down for those moments and all that mattered was her. Nothing could go wrong with me in her arms

when i couldn't possibly see myself as not being with the woman for the rest of my life. When it's no longer possibly an option... i'm totally in love.
Sadly... things can still fall apart, no matter how hard you try.

When I look into her eyes and the heavens birth burns within my heart. Or when I can talk to her and just be myself while finding that it makes her happy.

Love is a lot different for guys than it is girls. If guys see something they like (and that includes girls), they know immediately. Right then. Now. Instantly. :o)
