Looking for hotel recomendations in Butuan. I have searched the internet and the nearest hotels that come up are in Cagayan de Oro. I am sure there must be some diecent hotels in Butuan, also is there ferry service from Cebu to Butuan? If anyone has been to Butuan anything you can tell me about it would be helpfull

want a tourist guide?i grow up in Agusan del Sur which is very near in Butuan...and now i live in Cagayan de oro..i can help you if you want..about the trip from cebu..yes..the fare is less than 1000 pesos..you have to get a ticket via Nasipit which the city port of butuan..30 minutes away from the city proper..just don't go there during rainy season coz you can see flood everywhere because the Agusan river will overflow..good luck

The closest i could get was Cebu, plus there's some info on the page. Not sure if this helpful, but good luck with your travels.

I stayed at Hotel Karaga for a couple of days. The room rate is cheap and the place is pretty decent.
