I will work near the World Trade Center PATH station and need help on where to live. I will work long hours so the closer the better. I want to keep my car for weekend use and will use public transportation to commute to work. My budget is about $1500 (maybe a little more) and want a 1 bedroom and must have covered parking. Any suggestions? Hoboken? Any other NJ cities that are nice but not too far and expensive? Heard bad things about Jersey City.

Try Hoboken or exchange place,West new york, weehawken or even jersey city.

I like exhange place they have good NYC views plus they have good apartments as well, you may be able to get what you are looking for.

Also Brooklyn is not a bad idea either try to find places in williamsburg area.

Try Yahoo rental search or craigslist.com

I lived in Staten Island and commuted to Manhattan for YEARS!! Port Richmond, Westerleigh, Castleton Corners have a wide range of options for you. Go look at the Staten Island Advance (local paper) has great things for you to see and review so you have an idea of what you are getting into. Staten Island Ferry is a great way to get u to work its a nice ride, easy walking distance for where you have to be. You can also take an Express bus (bit more expensive but you can sleep if your missing out on it LOL! Go check out the paper - good luck!

you at the instant are not likely to discover something risk-free with a visit it rather is a lot shorter and respectable faculties on your toddlers with out paying triple your present day hire, actual. I pay heavily extra advantageous than you for a large a million mattress room in an outstanding community interior the Bronx and it takes me with regard to a similar volume of time to get to instances sq. (the holiday costs much less, yet no longer adequate to make up the fee distinction). My advice is to stay positioned till you're arranged to spend so lots extra money.
