ok so here's my sypmtoms try to figure out what i have cuase i have noooooo clue. ready...
-no swelling or brusing at all
-pain when and after running
-occasionally poping when bent
-usually hurts on stairs
-i did twist it like 4 or 5 months ago
please help me!!!!

I have the same problem... but I have had problems since I had a sports injury in Jr. High 14 years ago... tendinitis. But you might want to go to your doctor, they can usually help, I also went to my friendly family chiropractors and every once in a while have some electrical stuff done to my knee... GOOD LUCK!

any one who says cartilage is full of it...there would defiantly be swelling with that kind of a problem. i would know cuz i had it!
some time you can, not tear, but pull a ligament and if you don't give it time to recover your body, when the injury gets aggravated, will try to compensate for itself and you can end up hurting yourself worse. if you insist on running i would use a brace, you can get them anywhere and they aren't expensive. but i would get it checked! for sure. my guess is its not torn or your pain when you tried to run would be horrendous.

The cartilage in your knee is probibly damaged from your running. Does it feel hot, when you run? I mean put your hand on it and see if it is hot and red(slightly). If you have either of those then maybe you have knee problems and you might have to stop running, either way see your doctor.

sounds like you may have a torn meniscus best to check with Orthopedic or Sports medicine Dr. I had the same symptoms and have to a MRI on my knee...

Sounds like a cartilage problem to me. You've worn it out from running. See your doctor. You may need a cortisone shot.

sounds like a torn ligament. use icy-hot rub..try not to supject it too much activy...soak in epson salts. stay off stairs....

DEFINATELY SOUNDS LIKE YOU TORE AN IMPORTANT LIGAMENT ( WHY THEPOPPIN NOISE)) SEE A DOCTOR GET AN MRI AND GET BRACED UP.
