No! I strongly agree with my answer because my boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years and we have been best friends for 6 years before that. We have a such an amazing bond, you couldn't imagine. It's amazing with him. I trust him more than anyone in the world and we are so in love - he makes me feel like I am the most beautiful woman in the world. I believe two people, best friends, can have a relationship together. You already know eachother and obviously care for eachother and respect eachother to the max. I know alot of people say that it might ruin or jeopardize the friendship - and to some extent that may be true - My boyfriend and I did talk about this before but we came to the conclusion that if we didn't try we would wonder for the rest of our lives "what if...?" and so we just gave it a shot and it's been great. So if you're thinking about it... I say go ahead!! It may be the greatest experience of your life. Be happy! â¥

I don't think there is a rule in dating your best friend, that's how most couples date is to become friends first, but you are taking a big risk on losing your best friend, if it does not work out, so you need to decide which one you want the mos.

It's not like there's an offical rule in the book of friendship or anything but dating your best friend can cause serious problems. You could really mess up your friendship if you broke up or ended up cheating on each other and so on. It could work, but you both would have to really commit to being together.

You are taking a chance. From experience i know, that if it goes bad, your friendship will never be the same. As soon as you start dating, everything changes. If i had to do it all over again, i would stay BF and not bring these extra feelings into the relationship. Unless u are sure that it's gonna work out (which u never know) i would not chance it. It hurts too much to know that i lost my BF.

It's all fair if the whole thing gets weird then you guys are buddies so work it out look a Jerry and Elaine(Seinfeld) Plus didn't you ever here that the ones you marry are like you best friends when it's true love.

No, at least there shouldn't be. I dated my best friend at the time in high school... it was great. When it comes to marriage, it helps if that person is your best friend.

I partially agree with Sifu, it can jeopardize your friendship and if it means anything to you, you won't go there. About the whole sex thing, what's the difference between that and dating? That was retarded. There's a lot of other women ot there bro, go have some fun.

it has it's pro's and con's. pro's: you already know the person and have a perspective as to what person they are, their ins and outs; if successful it could become a great relationship....con's: you know everything about your best friend maybe things that you didn't want to know or that you find out later on in a relatinship...go with your gut feeling !
good luck
