A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak. After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done. The monsignor replied, "When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip."

So the next sunday he took the monsignor's advice. at the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink. He proceeded to talk up a storm. Upon return to his office after mass, he found the following note on his door:

- sip the vodka, don't gulp

- there are 10 commandments, not 12

- there are 12 disciples, not 10

- Jesus was consecrated, not constipated

- Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not beat his ***

- we do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.

- The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior, and Spook

- when Jesus broke the bread at the Last Supper he said, "take this and eat it, for it is my body", he did not say "eat me."

- the Virgin Mary is not referred to as the "mary with the cherry"

- the recommended grace before a meal is not: "rub-a-dub-dub, thanks for the grub, yea God."

- next sunday there will be a taffy-pulling contest at St. Peter's, not a peter-pulling contest at St. Taffy's

Other than a course of antibiotics and topical treatment, does anyone know of a "pill" which is being used to treat this condition? An associate was telling me about something a couple of years ago but didn't know the name of it.

The Burkini is the new bathing outfit for Muslim women. For those who wanna see a picture, I only have a Dutch article about it, sorry for that, but the picture is right below the article:

Anyway, I truly like the idea, and it looks nice. I was just wondering about your thoughts on it.

In the last 2 years I have moved all of my IRA$ into high yield bond funds that invest in B rated bonds, ARK and HYF.
I am 43 and have $160K currently yielding 9.5% and paying $1,260 per mo., which I reinvest in the funds.
I am contributing about $1,400 per mo. that I invest in HYF, which is currently paying the highest yield
I reason that 9.5% is as good as you might expect from the appreciation from an average collection of equity funds, and at the rate I’m going I will have over $700K in ten years
I think the conventional wisdom of a balanced portfolio of diversified investments with an annual rebalancing seems to be somewhat structured to optimize the maximum amount of trades and therefore commissions for brokers.
And if you consider the meltdown that occurred following 9/11 you realize that timing is very important to the value of ones equity investment.
I’m comfortable we the choices I’m making but would love to hear input from anyone who thinks there are huge holes in my plan

hi. my dog is a german shepherd about 2 years old. about 2 months ago he started getting very thin. took him to the best vet in town. he did a test and figured out that he has hepatitis - his liver isnt working and therefore his food isnt digesting properly. ive been going to the vet for 2 months and he hasnt been able to fix him. he keeps getting thinner. he specifically isnt able to digest fats (something about his body not producing lypase enzyme)

what can i feed him and what steps can i take to get him better since obviously my vet is totally lost on what to do

I have 2 children ages 8 and 3 and they have my maiden name. My b/f and I were talking about changing my last name after we get married. He is not thrilled with the idea of me hyphenating my name. What are your opinions on the matter?

When I turn on my comp, the fans run and the lights come on but the screen remains black and says NO SIGNAL INPUT. I checked all the connections and everything appears to be running right but it won't come on? I have minimal knowledge of the inner workings of my computer so any help would be great. Oh, and in english please. I don't understand most comp terms! LOL. Thanks!
