I am 24 yrs old,I have 3 children under the age of 6,I currently weigh 153 lbs,I'm 5'7".I used to weigh 143 before 3 children. I try to eat right( dark green vegi's,and all),and I try NOT to eat the BAD FATS("bacon,eggs,butter,cookies,etc...), but for BREAKFAST I tend to cook bacon and eggs, and I love to cook warm cereal like farina and add butter and sugar to the farina YUM!,I know that's not helping me to achive my goal of 143! How can I leave the BUTTER and SUGAR out of my diet with out feeling deprived?

You are actually within the weight range for your height. Check out this link for height/weight charts. Perhaps all you need to do is a little cardio and toning exercises. There are some good butter substitutes out there. As for the bacon and eggs maybe just save those Saturday or Sundays. Also, check out the Weight Watchers web site they have lots of helpful information. Best wishes!

Instead of butter, try a quarter cup of half-and-half, and instead of sugar, try a half teaspoon of cinnamon in your cereal. Or switch to oatmeal and toss in a tablespoon of raisins - yes, they got sugar, but they also add good stuff like dietary iron.

Also try egg substitutes for breakfast, and instead of lots of bacon, scramble that egg substitute with a single slice of bacon fried crisp and crumbled up in the egg. If you just gotta have a real egg, have just one - use a jumbo egg instead of smaller ones - and if you absolutely gotta have bacon, make sure it's fried crisp so you remove as much fat as possible and only have two rashers (slices) of bacon.

I'd suggest exercise too, but with three rugrats to chase, you're liable to bonk me with a frypan and tell me how much exercise THEY put ya through every day, lol... Hey, I raised six, so I know where that's coming from! At the same time, one can often break away when hubby's around to mind the kids for twenty minutes worth of a brisk walk around the neighborhood. That's good exercise, and getting a break from those three devilish little angels gotta be good for reducing your stress level! It helped me retain a semblance of sanity while mine were growing up...

Try turkey bacon or turkey ham instead of regular bacon. You can cook eggs, but have one whole egg and one egg white, or try Egg Beaters. Try lower-fat substitutes for butter, like "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" and splenda or aspartame for the sugar.

If you really want to get serious about losing weight, have whole-grain cereal for breakfast. It's not comfort food, but you will stay full for hours.

Splenda and fat free butter spray! Seriously it tastes the same. And try switching to turkey bacon. It tastes different but my dad says it tastes better (I'm a vegetarian). If you are worried about the price of splenda food lion makes an off brand called Sweet Choice.

Personnaly, I think it's ok to eat this stuff but in MODERATION. I am very active and I eat healthy. Are you working out at all? If you are'nt, what's your reason...Start with exercise and the rest will follow. 30 minutes/day...walk, run, hike, etc.
