The auto correct feature allows you to insert words that you commonly misspell into a dictionary that will automatically correct the spelling for you. For example, if you type "breakfist", the dictionary will automatically correct it to "breakfast" for you. You are able to accesst this menu when spell checking the document. You have the options to "add", "ignore", etc. Go to the "Auto Correct" feature and select the word you want the computer to change it to every time.
The Auto Text feature allows you to only type a few letters of words that you type over and over and over. For example, your name. It is very similar to the way MS word automatically detects when you are typing the current date. It offers to finish it for you - all you have to do is hit return to accept it.
Hope that helps!

Autocorrect is when you frequently spell a word incorrectly Word will automatically correct it for you and Autotext is when you use words/phrases frequently, you can use shortcuts ie instead of typing Yours sincerely or Yours faithfully at the end of every letter you can set up an Autotext entry and you would type "yf" for yours faithfully or "ys" for yours sincerely then press F3 and Word will automatically insert these words. Autotext is a great Word feature when you get the hang of it.
