I read a book for English Literature A Level in the late 1970's and would like to read it again. Unfortunately I cannot remember its name. It was about a village and all the characters in the village. it was a true account of the village and was considered by most of us to be decidedly dull. However I would like to re read it to see if the passage of time has made me more receptive. Can anyone help?

Although my son nurses equally from both, my left side recently dried up. I also regained my period at the same time (first period since pre-pregnancy). Is this a signal that my body isn't equipped to nurse much longer?

I have been trying to get my baby to suckle more often from the left, hoping to encourage milk production, but the only result is that my right becomes engorged and my baby pulls off in frustration because there is no milk.

I'd like to continue nursing from BOTH sides. What can I do, and why did this happen?

THANK YOU so much...

Me and my bf havent been out on a date for 6 weeks now(since his daughter was having probs and stayed at his). He sent me one txt saying she was staying and that he could'nt see me. I txt him a few times after that and he didnt stay in touch. I saw him at work and he just says 'hi' now,we dont even have a conversation anymore. I thought things were over until the xmas meal he was flirty and could'nt stop staring at me and said he will see me in the new year, yet again he's silent again. Should i give him time because maybe he's having a hard time or am i being taken for a prat?

This guy who i like likes me. We've made out and there is a definate attraction there, the only problem is, he says he doesn't want a relationship. He has made it clear he likes me as more than a friend, but has recently come out of a really heavy and serious 2 year relationship and he says hes not ready for another one. We both suggested a 'bit of fun' and i'd be happy to do that because its better than nothing and i am really sexually attracted to him, plus he is off to uni soon, so a relationship probably wouldnt be worth the hassle, i just dont know if i should go for it. He invited me round to his house and i said maybe. I really want to just have 'a bit of fun' but i dont know if i should. I may get too attacted to him but i want to so much! What do you think i should do? I was just curious as to other people's opinions. thanks. x

I have began a diet, and I need to know the lowest safe calorie count for me. I am 51 years old, do thirty minutes aerobics a day and walk two miles three times a week. What is the safest amount I can consume and not feel faint or lightheaded?

What do you think about it? I think it is the wrongful taking of a life and should be considered murder. I know that it is not mentioned anywhere in the constitution, so it should be up to the states to decide. What do you think about it?

They are back in business aren't they. And they are going to remain in business, aren't they. And they are winning, aren't they.
Kill one. One hundred emerge. A never ending saga isn't it.

My overeager puppy got a claw to the eyeball from one of my cats yesterday. The corner of the eye where he got it is red. He doesn't seem to be in any pain, it isn't bleeding, pussing, watering or blinking.

Should I take him to the vet or wait a few days to see how it heals on its own???

I will spend any money necessary, but I can't really afford any unneccesary visits to the vet.

I'm trying to make the decision on this issue - declaw or not. People have been telling me not to declaw the cats because it involves a mutilation of the cat,s body (i.e. at least a portion of the last digit of the foot or toe). But the same people and groups that are up in arms about declawing are vigorously advocating that I have the cats spayed. Well, what is spaying if not a mutilation of the cat's body? The cat's ovaries and uterus are cut from its body and it's cervix is tied off. That's pretty mutilating. But the gain on the other end is you don't end up with a lot of unwanted kittens. The gain on the other end of the declawing is you don't end up with a ruined house and/or furniture. Seems like an arbitrary value judgment to say don't declaw but do spay. My cats never go out, so the self-defense issue is moot. Anyone care to chime in on this? I admit I'm leaning toward declaw based on the above reasons.
