i dont mean the fact that there is'nt any snow on the ground or cold icy weather. i mean the overall giddy & joyfull feeling that we usually get this time of year. i have found that these usual happy feelings have been replaced with (i have to buy exspensive gifts to please people) or ( i am low on money and have to spend money i dont have ) why do we feel we have to go in debt and spend a fortune that most of us dont have? how do we turn christmas back into celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, and being gratefull for what he did and gave to us? versus celebrating the make believe guy in the red suit, and thinking we have to obey societys rules and give beyond our means (financially & mentally) o.k. i am done. this is my 1st post. i look forward to any and all feedback.

I'm a senior in high school and for most of my time in school I've wanted to be friends with this one group in particular but I always felt held back. Mianly because I felt obligated to be friends with people who kind of attached to me and wouldn't really have any friends if it weren't for me. But anyway they all seem to have moved away or lost interest in me so at the end of last year I decided that the next year I would not worry about it so much, that I would try not to feel guilty because I had been held back for so many years and figured its senior year I should try to enjoy it as much as I can and make up for lost time. But anyway, I'm so shy that even though they seemed to be very friendly and seemed to give me an opening to be friends with them, I couldn't do it and nothing ever came of it. I tried getting a myspace to talk with them over the internet to show that I wanted to open up a little and stay in touch but i couldn't take the stress and got rid of it, I think upsetting them a little in the process, they were happy I got one. I recently got it back, but the stress is just killing me again and I think I'm getting rid of it again soon. Anyway, the last few months nothing really happened with this group A, but then another girl i like from group B worked on a project with me and one day asked me to sit at lunch with them for one day. I did for the one day but didn't want to look like I had chosen one group over the other because group A has been equally inviting over the years, so I just stopped going to lunch. This has complicated things so much and I just feel trapped. It's made my depression a lot worse, and lately, where I used to try to mingle in groups, I just sit by myself and don't talk, and I'm probably ruining my chances of having friends, but it's gotten to the point where I can't honestly say I care if I'm friends with them sometimes, but other times it just kills me, like when I see pictures of them together and think of what I could've had it makes me so depressed. I'm just getting ready to give up on the whole thing, since I only have a few months to go. Do you think I should do that?

Assuming not everyone practices Christianity, and then there are the people who have no religion at all. What about people who just want to be able to go about their daily business? Should everything close down for a christian holiday? Nothing closes down for Rash Hashana. What do you think?

All year I was looking forward to having Dec. 26 off because my boss told me I would. Suddenly because of HER mismanagement of time she wants me to work and I am SOOOOO angry. She does this all the time but this time it interferes with CHRISTMAS! That's SO wrong. So, now I am all bitter and angry and it's Christmas Day, my favorite holiday and Im not enjoying it AT ALL. I just keep thinking, "I have to work tomorrow." Ugh. Im so unhappy about all this.

I understand that I should be thankful for things I have that others dont and all that but those thoughts really arent working for me today. I need something stronger. :( My boss ruined Christmas!!!

It baffles me why parents and loved ones would purchase and allow an item that displays women in a very negitive way. I'm talking about Bratz. These disgusting pieces of plastic have taken over toy boxes, bedrooms and lunch kits. What kind of sane person would allow their childs last image at night to be of a botox injected prostitute? These are the images little girls idolize. Given, some Barbies also now look like skanks but it's still possible to find Dr. Barbie. Also, can someone tell me why Baby Bratz are wearing something similar to something on a bondage site? Children are easily influenced. These little girls like their scantly dressed dolls and you can find clothes similar in many stores. You let her have her way already so just finish the job and hike that skirt up. This is just another prime example of parents needing to take responsibility. Yes, let kids be kids but there's also a thing called common sense.

How do you justify these Bible passages to deny Jesus divinity? Clearly you miss read Scripture because the Bible makes it pretty Clear that Jesus is God. The Word made flesh and dwelt amongst us.
