All year I was looking forward to having Dec. 26 off because my boss told me I would. Suddenly because of HER mismanagement of time she wants me to work and I am SOOOOO angry. She does this all the time but this time it interferes with CHRISTMAS! That's SO wrong. So, now I am all bitter and angry and it's Christmas Day, my favorite holiday and Im not enjoying it AT ALL. I just keep thinking, "I have to work tomorrow." Ugh. Im so unhappy about all this.

I understand that I should be thankful for things I have that others dont and all that but those thoughts really arent working for me today. I need something stronger. :( My boss ruined Christmas!!!

To answer your questions:

1. No, I dont have kids.
2. Yes, I did get a bonus. It wasnt anything to write home about. It was about 1/4 what I should have gotten. But Im used to that by now.

Do you have kids? Because Christmas is more about them, in my opinion. The best things about Christmas we adults should practice all year round. Kids on the other hand think of this day as pure magic. So focus on the mystery, and the miracle that it represents to them.
If you don't have kids - well then to heck with it - stay angry till 4:30 pm., then start drinkin'.
Hopefully you'll have such a hangover that you'll be absolutely of no use to anyone tomorrow.
Oh yeah, did you at least get a bonus?

GOOD to hear you at least got something.
It's past 4:30 in Cali, have you hit the wine yet?
If not I at least hope you're over the blues, it could have just been a morning thing.
For thext two weeks every time you see your boss call him/her Scrooge or Grinch, then remind them that next year Dec.26th is yours.

Tomorrow may be awful, however it is still Christmas. Live for joy and happiness today, celebrate the birth of Christ. Tomorrow is not here yet. Worry not about what you cannot control. Remember only you can control how you feel, why make those around you feel sad. Smile and enjoy what is left of a special day.

Nope, you are giving her the power to ruin Christmas...
Christmas is today! Enjoy it... Make the decision to be thankful for the day, and it's meaning, and live it...
Be thankful that you have a job to go to tomorrow, lots of people are out of work.
I'm on Yahoo now because my 6 year old is with his dad today... I'm sad about that, but I know I can celebrate with him when he comes home... and for now, I'm able to share with people who might need someone.
Merry Christmas... now go make the decision to enjoy it!

Christmas is December 25th, not December 26th, so how in the world would that ruin your Christmas?

Work is a good thing anyhow. Be glad you have a job.

Why let others dictate to you how you should feel? You are giving all the power to your boss. What is it about other people you give them all this power.

A bonus is just this, companies do not have to give bonus's to anyone....
Just think you are not working today right....Quit giving others so much power over your thoughts..
