because im thinking of all the advantages and disadvantages. The advanatages are like true love, true bestfriend, someone you can trust and those things. The disadvantages i think are less time with friends, less time with studying. Are there more? I dont really know what should I do. cause if i get one its like my friends will act like"ok you just got a gf and your not hanging out with us anymore". and if spend time with them, my gf would think "ok your not taking this seriously, were over" something like that. help pls.

To day is Christmas not just a Holiday it is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When some one say's Happy Holiday I reply Merry Christmas is this wrong? I don't think so.

Do you think that Jackson should be made a pariah just as society has done to OJ? There have been pllenty of allegation s and plenty PROOF of child sexual abuse by Jackson, but Jackson had the money to get out of the trouble just like OJ got away with the murders from hiring a "dream team". Shouldn't Jackson be treated the same way, like a pariah? after all, OJ killed 2 ADULTS who at least HAD a chance to live , Jackson by molesting kids stole any life and soul from CHILDREN before it ever had a chance.

Hi all,

Happy Holidays!

I have a GC and a reentry permit. My reentry permit expires on Feb 2008.

I left the US on Sept 2006, going back to the Philippines to finish my bachelor's degree. I need a total of 3-4 years to get my degree.
But my Reentry Permit only has 1 year and 5 months left, before it expires.

I am planning to return to the US on Dec 2007 to apply for another reentry.
By then I would have been out of the US for 15 months with a reentry permit.

My question is:
*Can I leave the US right after I apply for a second reentry permit?
without having to wait for approval ?

*Also the fact that I've been away 15 months with the first reentry permit, will it endanger my GC if I leave the US right after I send my second application?

*As a basically jobless student, do I need to file tax for the US?

I have a credit card that my father(also a GC holder) gave me, Public Library Card, DMV I.D., SS Card to show that I have no intention of abandoning GC status

Yesterday, I was reading a week old newspaper that arrived in the mail from my old hometown. My ex lives there along with my only child a daughter who was to graduate this coming June 2007.

As I do everytime i get this paper I read every page saving the obit's or the last. It's a small town and thus paper isn't more than 20 pages including classified ads.

I get to the last page which contains the obit's and first thing i see is a picture of my daughter and her obituary, she was killed in a traffic accident, the funeral was held and lists various family members including me and date and time the funeral was held.

I was in total shock I was and still am numb, but getting more furious by the minute that i wasn't notified of my daughter's death.

I feel like driving the 120 miles to this small town jerking my ex and her husband out of their house and beating their butts into the ground for not giving me the courtesy of so much as a phone call.
Am I wrong to feel this way?

I've been really stressed lately (personal problems, school, family) and have heard that cold sores can be caused by elevated stress. In the past 2 weeks, I've had about 6 cold sores (small ones) and I'm getting freaked out. Is it due to my stress? Or could there be something else?
