I have to appear in court in a week. I got busted in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Im 20 years old and I thought you had to be 18 to gamble because thats how it is in my hometown and pretty much every other state. Im not going to fight it, and im prolly going to be fined $500- $1000 ...

any Lawyer-ish people here know if how I can talk the judge into decreasing my Fine?

There were no Signs that said you had to be 21 to enter the Casino. But the cop said thats not a good excuse cuz I was "supposed" to know the state law.

Sort of a "Guilty with an Explaination, your honor" type of a thing.

p.s. I cant afford a lawyer.

I recently was told by this person that they were sexually assaulted by someone we both know. I made a promise before i was told that i would not say anything to anyone. I feel action needs to be taken, i cant let something like that happen and they get away with it. The victim wants to "forget about it" I dont think you can so easily. I love this person more than anything in the world, and wish for them to be ok and free of harm and troubles that can be caused by what has happened. What makes a person think its ok to not say anything and let it go?

When I race with friends, we race on the hi-way and on the streets. I find that it is difficult to steer a perfect arc on some of the tight corners in Minneapolis. My friend got into an accident 2 days ago and almost died. Is there something I can do to fix my car so that it will steer better when I am speeding at 120 miles per hour. Can you please help me out here. Do I need new suspension springs or better tires so that I don't need to hit the breaks as often and slow down. Then maybe I can win a race and get a new girlfriend. I don't wanna kill any of the cats or dogs out on the street when I race, nor do I want to hurt myself. We've been together off and on for one year, but we've been seperated this last time for about six months. She's dated someone else since then and has recently started talking to me again and we both agree that we're still desperately in love but there's just some issues that can't be resolved right now. I would honestly do anything to show her how much I love her, but something is telling me that regardless of what I do right now, it's just not gonna reach her heart. I was traveling at approx 30 Mph on a major mountain highway in Oregon. Road conditions were icy with a thin layer of snow. I had studded tires on my SUV. Chains were not required. There was no visible gravel nor sand on this portion of the highway. I lost all traction, slid for about 20 seconds fishtailing until finally clipping the front of an oncoming mini van. I was able to regain control and park off the side of the road. No one was injured but the damage was bad enough to contact state police. 3 gravel trucks arrived prior to State police and heavily graveled the roads. After police noted statements I was cited with a $427.00 careless driving ticket. Honestly I feel I didn't deserve this citation. My question is, does anyone think I have a legitimate case against this ticket and If so how do I go about fighting it? And, will it be worth it? Or do I plead no-contest, submit a letter and hope for the best?
