Yes, I live about 2 hours from New Orleans and it is sad. There are parts of that city that has not yet been cleared and looks like a war zone still. There are still parts of this state that are devastated by the aftermath of Hurricane Rita as well. There are people who still do not have a permanent place to live. I think everybody is sick of hearing about it, but if they only knew the struggles here, they might understand.

Katrina has been conveniently removed from our viewing theese edays. However, I was watching BBC the other day and they were showing there still is an amazing amount of work either not being done or being done shoddily. But then again, a samll sate and not that many votes... Now if this was LA or NYC (think 9/11 clean up) the government would be on it like white on rice.
