i had a haircut from a woman that must have been 98 years old
her hands shook the whole time, walked away looking like a freak, but i didnt have the heart to tell the poor old woman.

Not really a nightmare; the haircut was OK. But this happened some time ago. The stylist was rather rude and condescending, even going so far as to ask if I gave myself a self-cut before I paid them a visit (which I didn't). Not much of a people person, if you ask me. Wasn't sure if she was a recent beauty school grad or not, but it's most likely the case.

As you can see, I haven't paid any hair place a visit in over a year and a half. Probably won't in the near future, either.

Buy an ultra-rich conditioner. After washing your hair thoroughly, massage the conditioner into your hair and scalp. When you rinse, do NOT rinse completely. Make sure there is still some conditioner in your hair. This makes it retain moisture and will repair your scalp.

Sadly you get what you pay for. You might want to go back to them and let them know of your condition. Hopefully they'll apologize and maybe even reimburse you. Long shot perhaps, but it might be worth it.

One place I went to (can't remember) had the haircutter pull my hair repeatedly so hard it made me tear up and she nicked my ears several times with the scissors!! Needless to say, I never went back.
