Don't have current prices off the top of my head... but if you go to Cozumel, plan to spend a day snorkeling & go to Chankanaab. Also if it's still around, try Ernesto's Fajita Factory--- AWESOME!
They have a dolphin swim there, but I find the dolphin stuff sad, so I won't do it, the animals never look happy. For ruins, Tulum and Chichen Itza aren't too far - either fly, rent a car or take a tour bus... I've flown to Chichen Itza and taken the bus... Flying is expensive (but worth it) & if you take a tour bus don't sit in the back by the lavatory (ugh!), LOL.

Shopping is EVERYWHERE. There are a lot of high end stores now. when I first started going, it was all about the little shops. Go just off the main streets and you will find tons of shops... haggle for the best deals, there is always a better deal down the street. I always browse first and then make my picks the next day.

Have fun.
