He was abused for about 2-3 years by his last father, I gess some dude who raised him. His mother left him at nine. Now he's sixteen and lives with us.

It's been going good but every time my dad tries to joke, he gets scared; he won't let anyone touch him, my grandmother tried to hug him and he shyed away from her.

Tonight my dad lost his temper and yelled at me (I was wrong, I admit) but he was right in the other room. Now he's locked himself in his room and won't come out. What should I do?

I posted this joke a few days ago, but I thought of a different punch line. Please let me know which one you think is funnier.

One day a man comes inside his house and tells his wife that he saw a monkey in their tree out back. The wife says she knows and that he should look up the monkey catcher in the phone book and tell him to come get it. He can't believe that their is actually such thing but his wife insists. He looks in the phone book and sure enough there is a monkey catcher so he calls him. The monkey catcher says he'll be right over. When he gets there he shows up with a doberman, a shotgun, and a cage. The man says what's all this for. The monkey catcher says, "I'm going to climb this tree and knock this monkey out of the tree. When he falls the doberman is going to bite his testicles until i can get down and get the monkey in the cage." The man says, "Okay, that sounds good, but what is the shotgun for?"

Suppose I declare myself the final prophet, and all final prophets before me were false or corrupted. Jesus was supposed to be the final Prophet, but God changed his mind and made Muhammad the final one. Which means he can change his mind again, and make me the final Prophet, which he did.

Next, I invent a religion which instructs followers that God hates all humans but the true believers (my new religion). God has manadated that we purge the world of unbelievers, irrespective of whether they have had a reasonable opportunity to learn his new religion (sounds familiar, I know).

Ok, so I make a book and declare it the word of God. I even have fancy designs on the book and declare that God doesnt really want us to worry about the substance of the book, but merely recite it, yell it out.

You must respect my religion right? No? Not enough followers you say? Ah, we merely quibble over the stage of my religions growth.

Any ideas why? Any suggestions on how to help to relieve him. I am planning on calling the doctor in the morning, but tonight seems especially bad. He is ok during the day AFTER he coughs when he first gets up and gets it out of his system... but it seems to be getting worse every night...

I had my son nine months ago. Luckily I basically lost all of my pregnancy weight shortly after having him so I could still fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I love looking nice and feeling pretty--and I do but I have not bought a single new shirt, pair of jeans, or shoes since he was born. I have no clue why but I just cannot shop for myself anymore--where as my husband can (for himself) and does all the time. I really know I should be getting some new clothes but it's really hard for me. Has anyone else gone through this? What did you do to feel better about wanting something new just for yourself?

not to be mean to christianity but i am a logical person and i dont believe in god simply because science and the Darwin theory and all that has a bunch of evidence backing it up. but still can someone christian tell me why they believe in god? im just curious, im not trying to insult religion or anything. oh and the big bang is a proven theory, so dont start with that. oh and also, if there is a god, and we are all "sinners" why doesnt he just destroy us? and i find it hard to believe that ghandi or einstein went to hell, if there is a hell.
