so i am scared to take surgery for i would like to have a baby and don't know what to do at 36 yrs old

A hernia operation will probably make it safer for you to carry and deliver a baby. With a hernia, it's possible for strangulation of an intestine, which would be a worse problem. Modern hernia surgery is much easier than earlier. Talk to your doctor, but I think it's safe.

Consult your GP, but I don't think you should have any problems if you decide to have the operation.
The most important thing you need to do before concieving is to rest and just let your body heal. Your child will be healthier if you are and I don't think 36 too old to concieve.
