Hi everyone!

I'm a translator from Iran. A while ago I started translating the masterpiece DUNE to Farsi. I didn't think it would be an easy job, but I had absolutely no idea how some concepts and sentences of it could be SO HARD to grasp!
What I need right now is a fan of the Book with good command of English who can help me understand the not-so-clear sentences and stuff, preferably a patient guy or gal cuz I'll have LOTS of questions to ask. Soooo....anyone interested? (Let me know your mail if you are.)

Frankly, which of the two is better WITHOUT taking price into account?? I have heard that Open Office rivals MS Office in almost every aspect except that MS Office is more suitable and friendly for novices. I am an american studying martial arts in china for a year and i brought my sony vaio laptop model PCG-591L that i bought 3 years ago. it is my only connection with people back home. Now my AC adaptor doesnt want to charge my computer anymore therefore i cant use it for more than 15 minutes. when i check the battery signal it says charging not charging back and forth. i dont have money to ship it back home and i still got a few months before i go back home. i dont think its my adaptor cause the light turns on. why doesnt my computer charge? please people what should i do? is it the battery? what is it? please people i need help to solve this problem my computer is my only communication with people back home. HELP!

I want to know your definition of what is good. How you live it or don't live it.
I want to know if you think societies standards of good are moral or immoral, and the same for religions standards of good. Or any other group or individual standard.

Even better, what is a standard of good anyway? I mean, what does that even --mean--

What is good? Is it a good feeling, or the abstinence of a good feeling?

If one were to believe in God, or Gods--anything, how does this entity define your notions of good. What is it about this thing that tells you what is good if it does so, and why?

Just, what in the world is good?

Surely having your dad put you on a sacrifice bed with a knife pointing towards you would be something of deep psychological trauma no matter that he didn't follow through with god's joke -- especially if you're just a child when it happens. I received a most wonderful gift for christmas of a digital camera. This camera has worked very hard for me, but, the memory card has suddenly gone " ka putt". Says there is only memory for 3 pics. There is no information about the card in my Camera handbook, & the internet just wants to tell me where & for how much I can get another. LOL, help! I live on a hill near the long beach harbor... I like to go outside at night, get fresh air.....enjoy my home. .. My neighbors have a friggin palm tree that is only getting bigger, and it is REALLY blocking the view.....instead of the harbor, i see a big stupid tree....

My boyfriend was in a very long relationship before he met me a year later. He dated her for 7 years, she cheated on him, and would have tantrums, verbally abuse him, cut her self and attempt suicide. But she was also his first long term relationship (and love), and from what I gather highly intellegent, somewhat creative, and a lively person. Although he doesn't the full extent of this, I am an unbearably jealous person, and he has even CALLED ME BY HER NAME IN FRONT OF THEIR MUTUAL FRIENDS. To make matters worse, I am much younger (and I suppose, I feel inferior). I can't shake the feeling that he will never get over her, because I think he keeps photos of her around without me knowing, he barely mentions her but I feel like he is hiding something. I care about him, but there is this underlying feeling of distance, and it makes me really sad. When he communicates with her, he doesn't tell me either. PLEASE HELP.
