A man called home to his wife and said, "Honey I have been asked
to go fishing up inCanada with my boss and several of his friends.
We'll be gone for a week. This is a good opportunity for me to
get that promotion I've been wanting, so could you please pack
enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and fishing box?
We're leaving from the office and I will swing by the house to pick my
things up"
"Oh! Please pack my new blue silk pajamas." The wife thinks this
sounds a bit fishy
but being the good wife she is, did exactly what her husband
asked The following weekend he came home, a little tired but
otherwise looking good. The wife welcomed him home and asked if he
caught many fish? He said, "Yes! Lots of Salmon, some Bluegill,
and a few Swordfish. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk
pajamas like I asked you to do?"

You'll love the answer...

The wife replied,
"I did. They're in your fishing box.....

I'd appreciate any input on this serious situation.

My sister, together with her live-in bf of many years, runs a small landscaping company. The workhorse of this operation is a beautiful Dodge Ram truck, which is in her name only.

The bf has a LONG record of doing stupid and dangerous things. Last night, my sister asked him to go to the store. He allowed his 17-year old son to drive him, and he insisted on taking the Ram (other vehicles were available).

On the way home, contrary to explicit instructions, the bf allowed the son to make a side trip up into the country. In the process, the son rolled the Dodge. The Dodge is now totaled.

She loved her truck. When the bf & son explained what had happened, she began to cry, and scream at them, calling them idiots. The son smart-mouthed her, using vulgar language, and my sister slapped him.

The bf, fearful, took the son and dashed off in another vehicle, leaving my sister to deal with police & insurance.

What should she do?

Do u still lingering with thoughts on them or hope to reconcile?

For me, if i know this relationship is beyond remedy and not worthwhile to keep, i do keep it as part of my memory for period we been together, just like many platonic friends i have, but just that i will erase my feelings for them. thus even if they call me i won't feel anything for them. no more pain. i look forward for a more fulfilling relationship next time. how about u?

Does anyone have any ideas for learning to keep emotions hidden or at least to not be ruled by them?

I find that whatever I'm feeling is extremely apparent to everyone who knows me, especially people who care about me. I have no defences. When I am hurt or angry or just depressed, I cry. The tears just come and everyone knows that I'm worked-up. I can't just put on a cool face and pretend that I'm not affected. This makes it easy for people to "get to me" and I feel weak when they know I am that bothered.

Also, I find it very hard to do anything when I'm having a problem emotionally. I can't work well or get on with my life until the crisis is solved.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Okay, I basically started watching tennis from Wimbledon 2005.
I've always wanted to learn how to play tennis but lets just say that due to circumstan ces, I couldn't.
I'm 20 years old, female, height's around 5'8" and I weigh 200 lbs.
Huge, yeah, I know.
The thing is, do you think I COULD play tennis?
My problem is I'm really shy of going out onto a court, and I think I'd look awful playing. On the other hand, its a dream to learn how to hit a ball with a racquet, and I dont want to be awfully good, just want to learn how to play.

Plus, I need a cheap racquet to start off with, because my uni's starting and once that starts, I'm kind of wrapped up in studies. Yeah, I'm the geeky sort.
I'm from Pakistan *and no, thats not a synonym for terrorist or suicide bomber*, so any ideas how much a racquet could cost me? Or if I could get a hand-me-down?

Thanks.
