You shouldn't vote for someone you don't know anything about.

What you should have done is educate yourself on the candidates before voting. All candidates have websites where you can read about them - their experience, their stands on the issues, their plans for your district/state/the country.

Educate yourself, then vote. An uneducated vote is really a waste. Don't vote for an unknown, don't follow any party line, find out which candidate represents your views and ideas the best and vote for them.

The link below has info on all districts, polling places, candidates, ballot initiatives... check it out. And VOTE!

I don't know if the electronic voting allows you to abstain from voting for a candidate. I wish it could. Sounds like a civil liberties issue to me.

One idea is that if you vote that party line, you get someone to help support fellow members of the party. But, you want to vote for the man based on his qualifications. How dare you. ;)

those are the one's I leave blank. Esp if I dont know what I am voting on. I dont want to vote a yes to something that will harm me in the long run.. My vote will still count on other items I voted on. But I avoid that situation by reading and researching before I vote.

My question for you is, why have you waited until Election Day to find out the positions of those candidates you dont know? It is YOUR duty to look into these men/women running for office and decide which ones you like. It is NOT their job to come to you and tell you. Though many do, of course, because so many voters are like you, lazy and not willing to do the research.

That is when you vote for the politics of the party.

Because "unknown" is probably a better choice.
