Not to my knowledge. War just doesn't sound like fun to me. I prefer a few good friends, a bottle of rum, a 2 liter of coke and good conversation. Now that's fun. *wink*
I guess for some it is about being better than your neighbor. I'm too busy doing other things to worry about that one.

Wars are escalating because we are in the end times. More people have been killed by wars since 1900 than in all prior human history combined. This is just as Jesus foretold would happen when Israel would be a nation again. Read Matthew chapter 24 in the Bible. It's an eye opener.

I don't know if millions of men killing each other is the same as "keeping up with the Jonses", but there will always be war. There would be less of it without religion, because we would be fighting for things that matter, and not superstition. Religion divides people for no reason, except that it is a political weapon as history shows. I bring up religion because this is posted in the religion section.

There have been a number of cataclysms that nearly whiped
humanity off of the face of the Earth. Then, we slowly grew until
people started stepping on other peoples toes, and war
starts all over again.
We typically fear for what we will have. Will there be enough for the future. That's what starts wars.
Then the killing creates a cycle of blood vengeance, that can
start up again over any petty incident.

There's been a day here and a day there. But, war is part of human nature.
No, life is about coming to know the love and mercy of the one true God, and salvation thru His Son, Jesus.

No, since the beginning of time, there has always been wars. Even when all governments was tribal, the tribes warred against each other.

Grace(not Law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus->Christ.
Christ: is the end of the law, as the end of enmity.
Butt as l-o-n-g as we keep law, we'll have enmity.
So to have peace, the Bible says flush all the law.
For law and grace are "contrary things".
Contrary things can't co-exist in peace.
Not to mention it makes an oxy-moron,
which is commonly called one-proselyte.
No such enmity, nor any oxy-moron in the end written:

For Paul (not Johnny Law) plays the "last trump" it:

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
