Failure is a great dispenser of knowledge. I do learn by observing, but I learn more when I am active in the process: making my own mistakes, self-correcting, moving forward.

If you are saying, observation is a great path to knowledge, I would disagree, seeing is not believing. I have never seen an atom but I know they are there.
I will admit that witnessing what people do says a lot more about them than their words.

I believe the only way to learn something is to observe. Course, being thrown to the sharks results in quick learning also!

Although, a great path to knowledge is found in books.

Other than faith, no I don't think there is a greater path to the truth or knowledge than through observation.

i think it is balanced becos observation is a powerful way to gain knowledge. It is also very subtle, as you pick things up you may not even think about. In the same way, knowledge is a good way of learning bcos All men by nature desire knowledge- Aristotle.

Dragon can't think of anything greater than that...

Dragon must be absolutely brilliant, because she practices observation every day.

Or maybe she's just staring.

Observation isn't everything. You actually have to live and experience things first hand to intrinsically understand them.
