This old man and his grandson were going to town with their donkey and the boy was riding the donkey. As they went along they passed some people who said it was a shame for the boy to ride and the old man to walk. They thought the critics are correct and they changed positions. Later, they passed some more people who said it is a real shame for that man to make such a small boy walk, confused they decided to walk. Soon they passed some more people who said it is stupid to walk when they had a donkey to ride. So they decided that they both should ride. Soon passed other people who commented it is a shame to put such a load on a poor little animal. So they decided to carry the donkey.As they crossed a bridge they lost their grip on the animal and he fell into the river and drowned.The moral of the story If you try to please everyone, you will eventually lose your a*ss.

i have nothing against feeding the poor or making the world aware of the needy. but when a man worth 600 million moves his finances to the netherlands to avoid paying taxes then wants to raise everyone else's taxes to serve his cause, then has the nerve to wag his finger at regular joes for not contributing enough. how is that not hypocritical? like most rich liberals, he dances to the tune of "redistribution of wealth" until the collector comes knocking on his door. now before anyone says he wants to avoid taxes to feed the hungry, i say BULL. i'll believe that when his bank account looks like mine.

no i'm not envious of him. i don't want his money. he earned it, it's his. i just don't like the idea of an extremely wealthy person trying to FORCE people to contribute to his cause via taxes.

My husband use to tell everyone that I was the best thing that happened to him.Now he is telling me he is sick of me.When I called to ask him if he can pick me up from work because the weather was really bad I had woken him up.Thing is he was not asleep at home.I know he spent all afternoon with his other woman because he was still in his work uniform 7 hours after he finished work.She lives in town.If he was coming from home he would have taken 30-40 minutes.It took him10.Now he is smoke screening his adultery by being nasty because I did not put away laundry done before I went to work.This isn't the first time he's cheated but about the 5th and I am fed up with it but where do I go when I've got no family and friends just do not want to get involved?I am 24wks pregnant

I'm trying corporate America again, and I think it might be a mistake. Basically, I have 2 questions:

1) Is one's stress level reliably predicted by how much they're being paid?

2) Do employers hire people where part of their job is to be mean, or do they tolerate the meanness because that tends to be associated with get-it-done personalities?

It is a 1.8i engine.I have changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires and distributor cap but now the car won't start. When we try it sounds like it is going to and then it sounds like it is releasing air. Some people have said that my firing order is off and that I should turn around the distributor cap. But I am afraid that I have the plugs on in the incorrect order.

Here's the deal ;

My bf calls me at 3am and then gets pissed at me for not answering right away, or for being sleepy. He only calls me 'baby' now when we have sex. He is pissed because he is getting a place and wants me to move in.

Yesturday, i was happy and i'd gone out with my friend. i came back and he said he was mad that i sounded happy when he's so depressed. I ask him why he's so mad, and he says he's just frustrated because he's lonely, and he wants me there. Later he said his Grandma is sick, and he blames me for not being there, that his Grandma 'only dies once' and I'm not there for him. I couldn't believe he blamed me for that!! i'm there for him just not in front of him. This goes on ALL the time now. All this in one day.

Seriously, wtf? I am so tired of hearing people say "yeah I was _ when I lost mine and I wish I would've waited"...waited for WHAT? I lost my virginity at 16, and I NEVER regretted it--why would I? It was great! I guess people tend to confuse love with sex, and try to make sex into something that it is not.

Sex is not about love, and it is not something "special" to be saved for that "special" someone....it is something you do because it's fun and it feels good. I'll tell you something else--I've been in love a couple of times, and the sex felt exactly the same. So much for that theory!

So I guess my real question is; why are people so desperate to believe in a myth?

I am ashamed that I even have to ask the question. But I have been going through bouts of paranoid for the past few months and I think if I don't seek help I might end up in the looney farm.

So I just need to know, does going to a pyschologist works? Or maybe I should invest my time in meditation or picking up a religion? Because I have been to see a pyschologist once, but when I see him I just dun feel secure in confinding in him.

Can anybody whose being through this help? I dun want to end up a crazy person.
