It depends on the aircraft. Many aircraft have "relief tubes" for going number 1, and come with adapters for female pilots. For those that don't have these tubes, the pilots carry what they call "piddle packs" which are small plastic bags with a powder inside. This powder reacts with urine and forms a solid gel that stays inside the plastic bag until landing. Unfortunately, if the air wing runs out of piddle packs, and there is no relief tube, many pilots have turned to adult diapers to make sure they can relieve themselves on long flights.

When I was reading my Tom Clancy book, there was a Harrier pilot who said when he had to desperately use the carrier's washroom, "one thing they'll never have in a fighter is a bloody toilet."

There is a little tube under the seat for number 1. Number two- outta luck gotta hold it. The newer guys may have this built into their suit.

When I worked F4s, we used to tell the new guys that the tube was the voice box to the avionics bay, and we had them talk into it so the other guy under the plane could hear him.
