Last week I got in an argument with my girlfriend about guys vs girls. To make a long story short we made a bet that her roommate and her couldn't pin me and I lost. They made me agree to let them pick my Halloween costume. They told me it wouldn't be too bad. They had five costumes in mind (a pirate, a mental patient, a vampire, a cop, or a superhero) and I could pick which one I wanted. This didn't sound bad at all until I saw what they had in mind. I have to wear this costume for 3 different parties. Which of these do you think is the least embarrassing. I am really stuck trying to find the best alternative out of the 5 and feeling pretty silly that I'm going to be picking one of them. I don't know if they're expecting makeup, heels, or shaving.

I'm inviting some friends over for a Halloween party. I'm a rather busy person, so I don't have a lot of time to go out and buy stuff, and I don't want anything too complicated.
I was wondering about ideas for activities, other than talking and watching movies. (I am planning on doing this, but I don't want everyone to fall asleep, which can happen with too many movies.) I have a small apartment, so dancing, relay races, and the like won't work.
I am not going to allow any alcohol at my party...please keep your answers clean.

Hello, I'm new to context free languages and having trouble converting from a mathematical description of a language into the CFG syntax. For example, if I'm asked to find (a^n)(b^n) for n greater or equal to zero, that is a language that has the same number as a's as b's that begins with "a", i know that I can write the context language as:
S-->aSb | e

How do I handle a situation where I have something like:
(a^m)(c^p)(d^q) such that m = p + q.

Anyone have an idea??

I see some posts about the same subject: In short, I've been married 16 yrs and we've done everything BUT separate. Now that we are, I'm 95% sure I don't want to go back, spouse and I are going to work on ourselves a bit and see what next year brings. We need this break. I would like to go on a date and have even expressed this to my husband. He is not pleased but understands things have come to this point and if it's "what you need to do I understand" Mind you I am not taking this as "go and sleep with anyone you want" nor is it partytime for me, I have two kids, a professional career and respect myself. I do want to meet some people though, wondering if it's going to bring me back to my husband or solidify that it's finally time to move on.

Thoughts? Similar experiences?

Why would a species of bottom-dweller that's never been known to breach LEAP into a boat? This article makes it sound like stingrays are attacking people. I pity the poor creatures that get killed because of idiots slaughtering them en masse.

I was looking through my dads old badges and insignia stuff while today, and I say a badge that said "I'll try sir!" I was wondering what that is granted for.
He was in the army for i believe 4 or 5 years, in the Panama jungle when the US was controlling the Panama Canal, Also alot of his badges and stuff have swords on them, aswell as parachutes, i know he was airborne infantry, but anyways im curious about what that "i'll try sir" badge is granted for, and also what are alot of badges with swords on them granted for?

I can not understand why people bash other religions, But I see "christians" bash Mormons ( who are christian) more than any other religion. They read the bible, they belive in Christ. They believe that Christ visited ALL of his people after the resurrection, but for some reason that tiny detail enrages so many WHY???

My friend has just delivered a baby...and i wanted to say..." I dont know how to CARRY a baby".. can you tell me is it incorrect if i use the word 'CARRY'?, because what i wanted to say was, to hold or to play or to carry a baby..
