i think he tries to act too much like a scientist, and he's not, and people take his books too seriously. i like his writing fine, but people should not consider him like an expert on all the topics in his novels, yes he researches them, and very well, and yes they provide food for thought, and entertainment, but that's it.

Interesting! Typical Michael Crichton really. Pages and pages and pages of the author telling us one of two things: 1) He's smarter than everyone else alive, or 2) He does a lot of research. Made me think though. How much of the stuff that goes on in current events these day is fuelled by the most powerful people on earth in order to keep us normal guys down?

the first half of the book was totally boring.
the inclusion he did on Malaysia was totally pointless!
