It seems logical, if it has no preservatives, is pure vegetable; (so it won't damage a condom) and is safe enough to put on a salad, what could be wrong with it. Think about it, would you eat Astroglide or KY? Annies right, No Vaseline or Mineral oils.
One reminder, go slow, you don't wan't anything to hurt.

While vegetable oil will leave a slight residue after washing with warm water, its "build up" is no worse than that of a silicone-based professional lubricant. Your vagina has a built in cleaning system and will rid itself of any residue over a relatively short period of time. The only time when vegetable oil definitely should not be used is when using a latex condom, as the oil will degrade the condom's natural rubber, causing increased risk of breakage.

The Ancient Greeks were using olive oil 2,500 years before KY was invented, so it is as well tested as anything.

no that is the worst thing to use or ranks up there with the worse. veg oil will get super hot and can actually cause friction burns, so try vasaline, ky jelly,

No it is not safe. Your girlfriend is right to be worried. Try astrolube or something like that I was reading about it on the net lastnight.

I don't know for sure. But I wouldn't use it. It is not chemically pure. It is meant for cooking with. Not placing in a human. Good Luck ! :)

Unless you're frying something, don't use it.
