False negatives are fairly common. The only way to be sure is blood test. Go see your doctor, it only takes a short time and you will know for sure.

Her chances of being pregnant depend on whether she has been having sex and what type of birth control she has been using. Take a second home pregnancy test (they're cheap). It is common for women to be late, and stressing over whether or not she is pregnant will just prolong it. If the second home test shows negative, and she is still late and at risk of being, then a test at the doctor is the next step. I've known several women who have skipped an entire month and not been pregnant. Just take the test.

Home tests CAN be faulty, but its possible that her period is comming a little late, thats all. One time I practically missed a whole month but I wasnt pregnant! It can be funny, but if she has for many years now had her period on the exactly same time of the month, then she's probably pregnant. If she is, and she's your gf, tell her to abort and donate the egg to Stem Cell Research. It can one day help save lives!
Good Luck

What are the chances of being pregnant. 0% if you refrain from having sex. And... 50/50 if you are having sex. You are either pregnant or you are not. You can't almost be pregnant.

Quit messing around... use birth control.
