There's this man whom i just hear about but havent seen. I feel that i love him. He's a friend to my girl friend whom i stay with. He seems he has guts to see me and so I am. I have this strong feeling that he'll find me attractive and something will happen between us cos he asks much about me. How can we know each other and make him fall in love with me? My friend works at a certain club and he goes there oftenly after work but gosh at that time I find myself at work and he doesn't visit us coz during the weekends he's always busy. What can I do?

I was wondering why I can read nearly three times faster text I find on the internet/computer opposed to paper books. My wife is exactly the opposite. Can anyone explain this?

My personal top three mathematicians have been Gauss, Newton and Euler in that order for quite a while now.

I knew that Euler went blind, but what I didn't know until recently was that he did a lot of his work in Mathematics whilst blind.

This has made me change my view. I have a degree in Mathematics, and when I think about how I would have done if I would have been blind, there is no way I could have done it. I probably wouldn't have been able to do O Level Maths blind.

This for me now puts Euler as number one Mathematician of all time.

Anybody know anything interesting about Gauss, Euler or Newton, or any other Mathematician?

All info greatly appreciated.

my husband and i have always said no kids. just for the simple fact we love to travel. now he comes to me and says now i want one. i am scared don't know anything about what to do and what to have checked before we go through with it. we find our breath because its part of us,we find our skin,our desires our sense of self,but why do we have to search so much to find our purpose,shouldn't it be just as obvious as any part of us?we are meant to breathe and are born breathing,so if we are created for a purpose why isnt it so obvious just as our own humanity is obvious why do we have to search for it?

I was recently speaking to a "gringo" (white) friend, who lives in Southern California. Her once predominantly white neighborhood is now 85% Hispanic. Crime has increased 800%, HIV 700%, rape and gang shootings are widespread, and a Hispanic school board recently removed the last of the "gringo authors" from the reading list.

As a result of the ban, like many other Caucasians in California, she has been forced to start a "White Home-Schooling Great-Books Program." They read primary texts, starting with the Greeks and Romans, and work their way through the Western Canon. They study Latin, history (European and British), literature, Christianity, science, and mathematics. I was told, "Without such a program, white children would learn nothing of their European heritage."

God must be some sick, sadistic individual to make a wildly uncontrolled species like humans, put us on this unpredictable rock, and let us go on and on for thousands of years arguing over his existance. Heck, a good 1/3 of his creations don't even believe in him. All the while we get to do the most depraved, insane things. We've got free will to torture & rape each other all day & night... murder one another by the millions... oppression... innocents dying everyday in pain & misery... diseases a horror writer couldn't dream up, starvation, plagues... what an awesome display of intelligence, compassion & power!

If I had a computer that screwed up as much and as often as this world does, I'd have hit "reset" millenia ago. I guess god just gets off on seeing how much misery his invention called "free will" can create, and how long it will last. What a freaking genius he must be!

Or MAYBE there is no god, and it's all just random chance and our lot is our own doing?

I live in a small village in south england, on the weekend some items of food were stolen from a kitchen in a local hotel around 3am, I was in the area as I was trying to get a friend home or to look for his friend as he had missed his taxi. 3 people who all have history with me therefore hold a grudge saw me in the area and told the police they saw me running away from the hotel, me and me mate were arrested and bailed on the suspicion of burgulry, there is no one sayin we where in the hotel and no proof to say we were seen apart from 3 peoples word of mouth, what are the chances of this going any further eg being taken to court etc, if it does then my hopes of joining the marines next year will be gone as i already have a criminal record...

ok i was with my best friend and i we rearended someone and i was hurt (my collarbone because of the seat belt) but i dont want to make him feel bad and my insurance will take care of it so i dont have to worry about the bills but i was wondering do u think i should tell my friend the truth that it was his fault (not that im mad at all accidents happen) that i was hurt or should i make a story up so he doesnt get anymore guilt?

i just dont want to hurt him it was just an accident and im the only one who was hurt but i also hate lying to him........
