No need to be offended. Just recognize Chavez for the enemy he is.

Iraq, Iran and North Korea were already hostiles - so mentioning it isn't going to change their status much.

Should the people in Afghanistan and Iraq be offended when Bush orders mass killings of innocent civilians. Should mothers in Palestine cry when their kids die and in Lebanon when Bush and his ally Israel love the war 'games' till they attain 'sustainable peace' on their terms. Should the world conscience be offended when no WMD's were found in Iraq and yet US forces invaded a sovereign state and should the American parents be offended when a daily count of body bags gets increasing in the name of 'democracy class' by Bush administration.
Good question and it needs a broader perspective in the quest of answers. The outcome of labeling people and nations as axes of evil is that the world is less safe a place than it was. When rapists and killers kill in the world they are named John or Dave but when somebody is killed by a Ahmad it is immediately labeled as Islamic Jihad. This discrepancy and myopia has to stop to make the world a better place and then no one will get offended because no one will make remarks like that.

No. Chavez is a good judge of character. Maybe Bush can be offended; it's his right. Why should Americans collectively feel offended by such a thing? He wasn't insulting you, only the president.

And, he was being too nice.

I'm not offended. I found a picture of Bush online about a year ago and it shows him as the devil, so I saved it.

Yes...of course...as its an insult To the devil. I would imagine that any sub-diety as the devil would be smarter..and more able to deal with this game...Our Prez is a blooming idiot..from the get-go..and couldnt tie his own shoe laces properly...

Now..if you woulda asked if we should be insulted that Bush was compared to a mollusk..then id have to say.."SPOT-ON"..and of course not. Bush very much reminds me of a bi-valve creature.

Why should Americans be offended by a little boy with self lack of knowledge in kicking his own butts being overlook on planet earth.
How embarassing at loss with his own position to offend another dirty old man like himself on planet earth.
A real joke on the joker himself being overlook on planet earth.
Should try and find a piece of question with those "Three little words" on "Who are You" left behind by our creator for each and every living human kind to come up with answer before kicking the butts of another living human kind being overlook on planet earth.
