my girlfiend of 3 years always act as if we are not together in public and around her family. but everyone who knows us knows that we are together. she always makes these comments that make me feel that our relationship is wrong. but then at home she is affectionate and we have the best sex. and this is not her first lesbian relationship so why does she act this way?

Problems with Cubic Equations: 1) Max and Min Values 2) Area under curve?

When dealing with cubics (ax^3 + bx^2 + cx +d) are there plug and chug formulas avalible to find:
1) Max and Min values (ie the turning points of the graph)
and
2) The area under the curve
Right now I have about 30+ cubic equations that I have the coefficients for but need to find 1 and 2. I dont want to go through each one by taking the derivitives etc ... I am just wanting to set something up in Excel where I can place the coefficients in certain columns and I will recieve the results for 1 and 2 automatically.

Any ideas??

Any and all help wanted.

Girlscouts/boyscouts?

Are the boy scouts and girl scouts basically the same orginazation just for diffrent sexes? I have heard a lot bad press about the boy scouts but nothing about the girl scouts. Anyone that can help me would be GREAT! Thanks!

If we believe that there is evil in the world, what are we to conclude about God?

Either he wishes to prevent evil and cannot, in which case he is not infinitely powerful; or else, he could prevent evil, but does not want to, in which case he may not be infinitely good; or, finally, perhaps he simply does not know the best way to run the world, in which case he is not infinitely wise. Theists want to maintain that God is infinitely powerful, good, and wise, and so the problem of evil poses a severe challenge.
This question is based of something i read by David HUme.
Id like to know what people think about the statements above.

How can Iget my wife to lose weight?

First off, I love my wife very much. She is a latino with a gorgeous face, beautiful skin, and nice legs. When we met she was kind of thick in the mid-section. She has had three children from a previous marriage. I understand this completely. Well, she lost about 25 lbs after we met...partly because I am just physically active and always doing things and she was now doing them with me. Well, we have been married for a year and she has packed on about 15lbs. I am in the military and I lift weights, run, and exercise regularly. She WANTS to lose weight but she doesnt want to work for it and she WONT. If we go jogging, she will do one lap and quit, refusing to continue....that is all she is WILLING to do. She wants a miracle pill, a tummy tuck, and she WONT diet. It might last for a day or two. I am concerned about her health. We are approaching our 30's and it has gotten harder for me to keep weight off, so I know it is hard for her. She refuses to listen. Any suggestions?

My '98 Daihatsu Charade Hatch is making a funny noise, what could it be?

It's a Manual (Shift stick as Americans call it). As I hit 4th gear, you can start to hear a sound like a low "woop woop" kind of noise, something like when a washing machine starts to slow down. It's really hard to explain what it sounds like. I don't know where it's coming from too but my dad says it might be coming from the front. I have already taken the car for a safety check today and waiting for a phone call. I'm asking this to see if anyone has the same problem as I have before and to make sure the mechanics are telling me the truth.

what would you tell your friend?

My best friend recently lost her virginity to this guy, that she is not dating. She feels she wants the title to be his gf, but he claims he doesnt want to rush into a relationship. She claims she is going to stop having sex wit him, so she can see his true intentions. I feel he just wants sex out of her. When she lost her vcard, he said he wanted to make it special. Yet special is definitely not in a car. I dont feel he's right for her. What would u tell your best friend/or what do you think of the situation
