My friend (boy) went out with this other boy & they broke up. well (boy) was angry with him and talks about him behind his back. (boy) & i had a fight. and i told boy that (boy) found out something about him..and it was funny. well someone over-heard and told (boy) and now (boy) is mad at me! but i wasn't talking about him behind his back like others said. what should i do?

(boy) is one of my best friends..but he's very controlling and doesn't like to hear others' sides of the story..

but i dont want to lose him.

I did a few weeks ago just messing around. I entered some poem I wrote at least five years ago, and I just got a letter saying my poem was selected as a semi-finalist in a contest and I'm being published. Is this true, or a scam to get me to buy a book?

Today, if you are on a cruise ship and it starts to sink does the rule of "women and children first" in the lifeboat still apply.
Isn't it sexist to imply that a man has a better chance or more bravery than a woman?
And a 13 year old may have a better chance treading water than a sixty year old.
I don't think most people know what they would do. I just curious about this custom and if it still prevails.

My mother has brain cancer, and I was wondering what the average life expectancy is. The tumor she had before was in an unoperable area, and they cannot opperate. They are going to try using chemo therapy, they've used radiation once before to shrink the tumor. Back then they mistakenly said that it was benign, though it was malignant the entire time.

anyone have any kinds of statistics about it, or anybody who knows a bit more about have an idea of how much time...?
I know it's not something that you can just say, but if you have an idea...

I want one where I don't have to register to get on. I used to use one which had a number of rooms to choise from such as Teenage, 20's, 30, Adult, etc & they also had private rooms for if you wanted to talk privately to someone you started chatting to in one of the other rooms. Instead of registering all you had to do was put in what username you wanted to use & you could go straight in. I wish I could find this site however, I think it may have changed names or something.

Does anyone know of any similar chat rooms that are good?
