Hi
Awww... congratulations!!!
Are all puppies ok? Green is probably from the puppies...
If mom seems ok with her mess,,I would really not bathe her today... she can clean herself or you could take some wet wipes or a few warm washcloths with some baby wash on them or just water and clean her a bit
Beware she may be a bit grumpy if you poke around her puppies or her private areas at the moment..
She has been through an ordeal and needs to rest... if you all can survive the green or just wipe her a buit I wo uld let it go...
Wait til she shows signs of needing to get up and about... and know she will not want to be away from puppies for long... give her at least a day or so before a bath
then be sure to NOT NOT NOT use any kind of flea or tick shampoo to bather her as it can get to puppies.. use baby wash or baby shampoo only
Good Luck

Do not put anything remotely toxic or chemical on the Mama dog. No shampoos, nothing, I don't care how natural they say they are. If it gets on her nipples, the puppies will get it in their mouths.
I've never seen a dog make a mess of herself when delivering pups....your carpet, her bed, the floor, yes, but not the dog itself. If she is really funky and you feel she needs your help, then gently wipe her off with a WARM washcloth, and then dry her, too. You don't want her catching a chill. But I'd leave her alone for now if at all possible, and don't haul her off for a bath.
Like kittens, pups can't regulate their own body heat, and need to be up against Mom right now. If Mom gets cold, or you remove her for a bath, the pups could catch a chill and you would lose them, when all you intended was to help. When it comes to animals and their babies, we try to intervene as little as possible. The animals usually know what to do.
Good luck.

Don't bathe her for at least a day or so. If you have a heating pad put it the whelp box (on med) covered in towels so the pups can maintain the temp that they need. Keep an eyes on them to make sure they are nursing, remeber they can't see so you will have to guide them to where they need to be for the first few days (untill they get the feel of it). If she is a new mother watch and make sure she doesn't step on them, new mothers are not always conscious of how many puupies they had so she may roll over on them.
Good luck to you

Congratulations first off...gotta love little puppies. There is a shampoo on the market you should be able to pick up at the drug store. It is a dry shampoo that you dont have to wet the hair of the dog. you just pour on the hair and wipe dry, easy as falling off a log....lol. As a nurse i used this quite a bit on bed ridden patients that was unable to get out of bed. if you can not find it i would recommend using baby wipes to clean the new mommy up please use the unscented wipes just in case the new puppies have allergies to any of the fragrances in the wipes.

I agree. Get a warm rag a wipe her down gently. She probably feels very confused and in pain right now. I'd say you can give her a proper bath in a week. Bring her puppies though so she can see them but dont put them in the water.

just give her a little sponge bath for now with a warm wash cloth. I'd wait til the pups are about a week old before giving mom a bath.

I'd wait a few days. Wipe her down. I'm sure she is not in the mood for a bath after giving birth.

i don;t think you should bath her now. when animals have litters the young get used to the mom;s smell. if you bath your dog ;it mite confuse the pups. just wash her with a light smelling soap.she probley will be glad to get the green mess off her. good-luck with your new pups and mom.
