Gerbil, Hamster, Rat, Mouse...Along the small animal line.
I'd love to consider lizards and other misc. reptiles; unfortunately, I've got to have some affection back from this pet or I'll go nuts.
I have some information and facts on each, but your personal opinions from experiance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

If the new manager shows his aggressiveness by doing lots of self-studies and requesting early on-board, is it proper that we share important business info to him in advance to help him fit into the organization?

I believe that free-will is the ability to make my own decisions.
Determinism is that all actions including human decisions can be pre-determined with enough knowledge.

I don't see a problem believing both are true.

If you have a problem with that, why do you believe human decisions can't be determined with enough knowledge?

Top 17 things to do while ordering a pizza!
1. Do not name the toppings you want. Rather, spell them out.
2. Put an extra edge in your voice when you say "crazy bread."

3. Put them on hold.

4. Report a petty theft to the order taker.

5. Ask for the guy who took your order last time.

6. Be vague in your order. When they ask what you'd like on your pizza say, "Oh, a little of this, a little of that..."

7. Say hello, act stunned for five seconds, then behave as if they called you.

8. If they repeat the order to make sure they have it right, say "OK. That'll be $10.99; please pull up to the first window."

9. Ask if you get to keep the pizza box. When they say yes, heave a sigh of relief.

10. Put the accent on the last syllable of "pepperoni." Use the long "i" sound.

11. Tell them to double-check to make sure your pizza is, in fact, dead.

12. Terminate the call with, "Remember, we never had this conversation."

13. In your breathiest voice, tell them to cut the jazz about nutrition and ask if they have something outlandishly unhealthy.

14. When the order is repeated, change it slightly. When it is repeated again, change it again. On the third time, say, "You just don't get it, do you?"

15. When they say, "Will that be all?" snicker and say "We'll find out, won't we?"

16. State your order and say that's as far as this relationship is going to get.

17. If he/she suggests anything, adamantly declare, "I shall not be swayed by your sweet words."

This is a follow up to my question from last night about the 4 y/o & 2 y/o doxies. Background: I ran across the ad where these folks were trying to find a good home for them. We had been wanting a doxie so I went today to check them out. From what they told me the 4 y/o was a breeder dog and they had taken the two (both girls) in from somewhere else and they were in pretty rough shape when they got them. They weren't in great shape when we got them today. In about 4 hours they have been bathed and treated for flea INFESTATION twice and petted a bunch. They have never been "family pets" but I know that they will get used to and love it. The 4 y/o is very much unsocialized. She's not grouchy, just extremely shy. That leads me to my question ... Can we overdo loving on her? Should we wait for her to warm up to us or go ahead and pick her up and hold her? She will sit in our laps, but she acts like she's afraid. Any helpful advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Much!

if you are going to be dumped by the girl you are courting, in what way do you want to be dumped, or turned down, in a way that clearly tells you that there's really no hope?

do you want to be turned down bluntly and rudely, or bluntly and politely?

if you chose 'politely'... is there a way that you would misunderstand things and still raise your hopes high?

i really have to ask this question, but i mean no offense. i really need your views on this matter.

thank you so much!

During the vietname war, even though we, as america, were losing the war terrbily, we were being told that we were actually winnin. was this lie told to us by the government or the media.

from what i remember, before that time, the government and media were on the same side. however, the government had decieved the media into believeing we were winning, which, in turn told us (the common people) that we were winning. Is this true because if it is, then the media can't be blamed for that can it? Or was it the media who already knew the truth but they did not convey it to us?

If goodness and kind deeds cover over--or cancel out--a multitude of sins (like the Bible says), then couldn't you expect to end up in Heaven after your death?
