Here's the situation. I had two co-workers having a conversation. One of them being Muslim, the other Christian. The conversation went into how good God was and how it was vital to pray to him. Both agreed with the other, but never acknowledged their god by name. The QUESTION IS: During this conversation who's god were they talking about and how do you know since neither one felt the importance of acknowledging they're god by a name?

If I was halfway across the world [say in Iraq] at 8:00 pm. , and I jumped on a real fast plane that got me back to [say New York] at 4:00 Pm eastern time ,would I have went back in time?[Iraq is 8 hrs. ahead of us]

Do you think we actually walked on the moon. I have friends who say that it is impossible to walk on the moon even with the proper equipment. I believe we did, but then again I do wonder. Whats your oppinion?

British People are proud of their country to be called developed. But how did you guys develop. You plundered and robbed your colonies. Britain even does not have a diamond to fix on queens crown, even that is from India. All the wealth here is from colonies. What you have other than strawberris , raspberries and potatoes? All the UK money should be divided between the colonies and the British citizens should go these countries work as slaves and labours to make up with what you have been doing.

I made this up by the way.

A blond goes into a cigarette store, and tells the man behind the counter that she just turned 18, and wants to buy some cigaretts, but doesn't know how to use them, and doesn't know what they do. "Well, ma'am, you just put them between your lips, inhale, then exhale, and you will get a relaxing feeling."
So she buys them and leaves.
The next day, she comes in extremely angry, and says "I sat there like an idiot, inhaling and exhaling, for a good five minutes, and nothing happened, until the end, when I got a burning sensation between my legs."

Lets say a guy is really sick and has no insurance, and he meets a girl who has great insurance and if he marrys her, he gets it. And the girl needs a place to live, and the guy has a GREAT house. Or if a foreigner marrys someone in the U.S.A to stay in the states. Do you think its wrong for two people to marry each other, EVEN if they don't love each other, if they REALLY need what the other has and has to marry them to get it. Thoughts?

me if it says in the Bible/Quran (any other) that BAD - really bad things happen to your in life -- for years and years -- is it because God is mad at you for something or if it says those who suffer will be okay at some point? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION. If you aren't a Christian, please tell me your religious affiliation - Muslim or any other and what does your BOOK tell you? Because it is so hard to live like this - working your butt off and getting nowhere and loving people and it doesn't get better. You do your best and you can't help but feel like a failure no matter what you do. I'm 48 yrs. young - have raised 2 kids (great youngest son - - drug addict older son and he stole from us-he's not around-no, not dead-just away and that is a good thing); I have a granddaughter and a grandson on the way to being born -- I love my kids (yes, both) and my grandkids are wonderful. I need some hope that things will change and can't help but feel I'm being punished.
