Lets say a guy is really sick and has no insurance, and he meets a girl who has great insurance and if he marrys her, he gets it. And the girl needs a place to live, and the guy has a GREAT house. Or if a foreigner marrys someone in the U.S.A to stay in the states. Do you think its wrong for two people to marry each other, EVEN if they don't love each other, if they REALLY need what the other has and has to marry them to get it. Thoughts?

I just thought of a Dr. Phil-ism....

If you marry someone for their money, you will earn every penny of it.

I don't recommend marrying someone for convenience as a way to true happiness. But I guess if you don't mind being unhappy, or have a very loose definition of marriage, then by all means go ahead. Just please don't bring children into that union.

1. The really sick guy wouldn't get insurance. Just thought I'd let you know that. LOL.

I am against a foreigner marrying someone just to get citizenship, mostly because it's fraudulent, and there is usually no love involved in these relationships. A lot of convenience relationships at least involve strong like, and usually the parties know that they are foregoing the passionate love thing for a relationship.

I am totally against getting married out of convenience. A marriage should be between two people who truly want to be married, who will commit their bodies and souls to that person through thick and thin. Too many people now think of marriage the wrong way. I am totally for Til death do us part. That is how it is supposed to be.

And those foreigners who come here just to become citizens, they shoulld know better! It is against the law and both people would be prosecuted if caught. I say it isnt worth it.
Also, side note- people like people who can do for themselves. If you cant bring 50/50 to the table, you ought not get married.

when you get married your saying your vows infront of god and promising all of these things that are false and i think that is totally wrong. you should get married with someone you truly love and make those vows count and be true. just my opinion
