I am considering moving to the San Diego area, and it looks like all i can afford at this time would be a mobile home and would like to know how it is. Most of the ones that i see dont have large Lots and/or privacy. Is that true. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Six of us will be traveling to San Diego for the weekend (Fri-Mon). We're staying on Mission beach and plan on checking out the zoo saturday and downtown saturday night. We're going to the Chargers game on Sunday and probably back downtown Sunday night. All things considered - parking, gas, travel time, designated driver, six people - would it be best to rent a car, hire two cabs for every trip (since there are 6 of us) or just get a limo everywhere we go and be done with it?

Any reccommendation would be helpful.

Thank you!

Going to san diego in october and we already booked a room here. They said it was newly renovated and i asked for one of those rooms and they said it had an ocean view. I know its a best western so i'm assuming it looks like any other one. Has anyone stayed there is it crappy and a waste of money?

my friend and i want to take a trip from san fernando valley sometime next week. an idea we're thinking is oceanside, 2 hours away. we're thinking it'd be a nice place to just get away for 1 day, go to the beach, go to legoland or san diego. oceanside is a nice area, right? also, i notice other beaches like san clemente or like dana point are within a short drive. what's the nicest beach there? the most popular/most crowded beach? how are the waves, like whats the beach that has good waves, but not intense ones, since we plan to go boogie boarding

i'm planning to take a road trip with my friend from la to san diego on thursday. then spend some time in sd on friday and leave san diego for la at 6 pm on a friday, since it's like 3 hours to la and we dont want to get back too late. will it be trafficky leaving sd about 6 pm on a friday to go to la taking 5 north? or would it be worse in the other direction on 5 south for more people coming into sd during that time?

Will be traveling in a small motor home and spending some nights in motels. Like small places, unusual, want to see local sites. We'll be traveling the first three weeks in December, leaving from Mesa, AZ

For those of you from here or have been here, we've been going to OB (Ocean Beach) the part where you can climb down the rops (or where it used to be anyways) And during low tide you can go out in the water pretty far and wade thru the rocks and stuff? I was just wondering if its dangerous as far as maybe sharks, stingray and stuff. There's a lot of sea weed, so I'm not really sure what kind of creatures hide in there. Is it too shallow for sharks? I'm trying to overcome my fear of going out to where i can't touch, but the sea weed and not knowing whats there REALLY freaks me out. I would really like to over come this fear and think that by understanding the waters better would definately help me. I'd also like to start snorkeling. If anyone knows of a great local website too, that'd be great! This is not just for OB either, for the general area.
