I am considering moving to the San Diego area, and it looks like all i can afford at this time would be a mobile home and would like to know how it is. Most of the ones that i see dont have large Lots and/or privacy. Is that true. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

You have it pretty much correct; mobile homes are close together and lot sizes are small. Some are much better than others. I'd recommend you consider north coastal county as there are several nice mobile home parks. The rent will be a bit higher but worth it I think. I live near Park Encinitas (444 N. El Camino Real, Encinitas) and have noticed that it is very quiet and well maintained, so that might be a possibility. There's a mobile home park on Mission Bay, centrally located, but there's been protracted litigation regarding whether the City can kick those people out (and they're trying to do that now), so maybe you should pass on that, even thought it's on the bay. Another nice looking one is in Leucadia near coast highway...not too far from the beach.
