Blue Sea Lodge?

Question

Going to san diego in october and we already booked a room here. They said it was newly renovated and i asked for one of those rooms and they said it had an ocean view. I know its a best western so i'm assuming it looks like any other one. Has anyone stayed there is it crappy and a waste of money?

I don't consider a best western to be crappy. Its just like any other motel. Looking for people who have actually seen a room and stayed there.

I lived in SD for 45 years. It is where my girlfriend, now my wife, and I would vacation to. I only lived about a mile from the ocean and this hotel was my favorite. Get room 105 or 107. What's nice about it is you can walk to good restraunts or Garnet Ave., which is the center of the PB nightlife. There is underground parking available which is a plus since the beach attracts a variety of people with good and bad intentions. The rooms I liked were in the original part of the hotel and have the ocean views. The new section of the hotel doesn't actually afford a real oceanview experience, but if they have renovated the old section then that's a double bonus for you. The prices were fair and the rooms very clean. I'm in Phoenix now and will stay there when I go back for a visit to SD again.

The Best Western Blue Sea Lodge has a wonderful location,
on the ocean front walk in mission beach.
It is very popular with visitors and is well maintained.
There is covered parking and parking for oversize vehicles
and it is close to many shops and restaurants.

The Hyatt mission bay is nice but it is undergoing renovation now.

It isnt that nice It looks like any other best western with a good view. It is pretty crappy. Sorry, but you should no that it is a dump. Try the Hyatt. Much nicer
