My kids (7, 10, 13 and 16) want to go to California for Spring Break. I like the Ocean and I like warmth so I'm wondering first if San Diego is warm in late March? Also, where is a good place to stay? I would love to be on the beach somewhere but when I was looking up reviews on Travelocity a lot of people complained about places being in a not so great area. Where is a safe place to stay with my kids? I'll be renting a car and we'll be spending the better part of our vacation at the beach (we hope) so I don't have to be located right near everything. Thanks.

Looking for a summer camp for kids where they stay over in a cabin or tent, and do activites. Looking for traditional type weekend or week long camps, not day camps. Any info and contact info very helpful. Can go to san dieog, north county san dieog, and orange county, CA areas. We live in N.Co. San Diego. Child is 6 1/2. Would prefer child camp, but would consider a camp where the whole family could attend as well.

I´ll be driving with kids and in order not to make too tired the journey I want to stop and rest in a hotel in a middle point between those cities going on Freeway 5. Please recommend me and give me special instructions if necessary. Thanks.

I will be there later this month for 5 days and am wanting to get everyones opinion on what I must see. I am not a fan of the parks (i.e. Seaworld) and things like that. I love the beach and the environment around it. I will have a rental car so distance is not an option. What are some of the beachs or "breathtaking" sights I have to see while in San Diego?

I'm a single mom looking for a safe, clean, non-ghetto area near zip 92113, I don't have to be IN that zip (if it's bad) but my school will be there, so I prefer to be within 15 mins driving distance.
Thanks!

Also please let me know if these areas are Ok, or BAD.
Normal Heights, El Cajon, University Heights, La Mesa, Chula Vista, or near the Airport.

I'm moving to Carlsbad for 3 months from Florida. Is it worth taking my car? Is it possible to get around without one?

I'm going to San Diego this Thursday. What should I wear there? I heard it has been cooler lately than other years. Should I be concerned if I only bring shorts and flip flops. I'm also from NJ/NY area and we wear lots of dark clothes to clubs. Would that be appropriate?

Also, What else is there to do other than Zoo&Shamu? Is Tijuana safe during the day? Going to LA will it be a long drive? How's public transportation? Sorry I burried you with questions but this is a questions place :-)

Any cool restaurants to try?

Me and my girlfriend came to san diego for comic-com but all motels/hotels are sold out or too outrageously priced. Can we stay with you tonight? We'llbring booze if necessary, or not, either one.

1. if the ticket is sold out online, does that mean they are not selling at the door as well? (looking at friday tickets)

2. this is my first time going, what kind of things happen inside? for instance, when i go in, is it just a huge area you just walk around and visit booths?

I was admitted to Arizona State... though, i just found out half of the classes i did here at my community college won't even work for my general ed. So I have to take more classes ... like science and math. Whereas if i went to a school in Ca. all of my general ed would be done. Has anyone else had this problem when going out of state from a 2 year to 4 year? Is it worth going to ASU and still having to do all of this? Or should i wait until spring and re-apply to cal states or maybe even UC Santa Cruz ( I applied to Cal states for fall 2007 and i was accepted to all of them... however, i declined the one i was going to; Long Beach after i found out i got into ASU... this was before i found out about the units/credits not being able to be used for general studies). So, what would you do if you were me? Should i wait it out until Spring and then re-apply to Cal schools?

It just pisses me off, because i was going to go to Cal State Long Beach. ASU is screwing me over!
