There are some great places to get married at in La Jolla. Take at look at this site (with pictures): http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/wedding-sites.html

The wedding bowl has room for around 40-50 people and would be the least expensive option. You make arrangements to rent it through the City of San Diego. It's a spectacular setting overlooking La Jolla Cove.

For a place to stay for a few days check out the beach hotels in the area: http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/san-diego-beach-hotels.html

I think Bertrand's Mister A's would be a great restaurant with a wonderful view of San Diego. The food is wonderful.

Congratulations and best wishes to you!

Good luck on finding anything in La Jolla for spring 08.
The place books real early and the hotels are all very expensive. One possible location in La Jolla is The La Jolla Shores Hotel, great location on the beach.
An alternative would be Mission Bay.
Check out the Catamaran Hotel, The Bahia Hotel,
Marina Village event center (Wedding specialist) and on the water. The Dana, the Hyatt, or my favorite the Hilton on Mission Bay.

My friend's daughter got married at La Jolla Women's Club...you couldn't pick a nicer location! Here's a link: http://www.lajollawomansclub.com/

Only problem is I understand they book up real early.

Other alternative if your wedding party is small is the beach; contact San Diego Parks and Rec for further info on La Jolla beach sites(619) 235-1100.

For hotel why not go with the best (you'll maybe, hopefully, only be getting married once)...the La Valencia. http://www.lavalencia.com/

Get an ocean view suite for a real treat.

Their restaurants are good but you can go to other nice restaurants on Prospect St. such as George' California Modern (http://www.georgesatthecove.com/california-modern/ ), or a couple blocks away, the Marine Room (http://www.marineroom.com/).

Near or at the La Jolla Coves. Many fantastic restaurants near the coves, with downtown La Jolla right there, that may help you with catering.

Good luck and best wishes!
