I postponed a trip to the French Quaters because of Hurricane Katrina, Well, I want to go back but I don't know if I will get the same feel. I've been to N.O. numerous times and I always loved it, Has anyone visited the Quater recently? Did it have the same feeling? let me know.

Is there a website you can go to if you are interesting in being a volunteer? I'm sure it is but I can't find it. I've been to yahoo and searched. Please if you can't help me don't answer the question trying to get points because it's against the rules therefore I will report you. A number would also help. Thanks

The evacuation is for the people who have no transportation but it takes about 2 weeks to get your evacuation information in the mail (like your pickup point and ID numbers) so why wait until now to do it, procrastination, laziness..what..you call 3-1-1 and it is a free call...so what is it???

Want to stay at the Fairmont again but it won't reopen until December. I am guessing others are in a similar state of repair.

Gosh! Every time I give FEMA my documentation, they always request for more info. Why can't they just tell me what they need all at once? That's SO frustrating! I need mt rental assistance so I can move out of my horrible living situation.

In October my boyfriend and I are going to New Orleans. He usually does all of the planning of places to go, things to do and see, but i said that this time i would sort it out and make the plans... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..and any tips and advice. We enjoy eating out, history, fun/silly stuff... theatre, going out for drinks in chilled out bars, we are out going and like to get the most out of a place we visit and have lots of energy to fit in a lot of things, staying for four days before going to Vegas.. ( therefor we aren't interested in going to casinos in N.O as we will do that in Vegas.
Thank you..
