Katrina pretty much left the French Quarter intact. It's still worth the trip. Since it was the area of the city least effected by the storm, it should be just as you remember it. There aren't as people now, and this includes the street performers, but otherwise it hasn't changed much. If you venture to other areas of the city, be prepared for what you are going to see.

Go! It is definitely worth going. I have been twice since the storm and am going in Dec. The french market is open. It is not as lively but is picking up all the time. There were no street performers when I was there but that doesn't mean they aren't there now.Don't be scared off by those who haven't been but are real qucik to make comments.

Yes, it is getting back to, it doesn't matter what day or night it is, the quarter always has good stuff open. I spent sunday night on Bourbon and had a great time.

Everyday of the week is fine...people are about and you can see great music, eat great food, and be happy...all the while knowing you are helping us get back on our feet!

Come on down!
