I will be in hollywood for two days and would like to go on a tour.

I am graduating from Illinois State University in the fall of 2008. I have always wanted to move to hawaii. At the moment I do not want to move there permanently. I thought maybe take a few years (2-3) and enjoy my time out in Hawaii, probably oahu. I will probably rent an apartment and try to get on the fire department around there. If anything I will spend 3 years most there and have a great time. By the end I will be 25-26 and still have time to get my life together here. I know this stupid for me to ask you guys but what are your opinions? I will probably do this anyway, just want to know if others think it is a good idea. Thanks for your advice!

I remember skipping school when I was a sophomore in high school to attend the grand opening of what was then called "EPCOT Center." I remember Spaceship Earth not working at all, and I remember the first rain shower flooding the concrete walkways. I remember only five pavilions in Future World, and nine countries in World Showcase Lagoon. Nevertheless, it was a really cool place to explore. Do you have any memories of opening day?

Why is it that the northern areas of long isl tend to have people w/ higher incomes, better looking neighborhoods, & be somewhat safer? and it cant be b/c it's close to the water b/c thats what the southern part is too. I currently live in a quiet, conservative/republican run, middle to upper middle class suburb, 30 min from a major city, in a very nice apartment. Low taxes, good buisness community, very low crime rate. Due to a buisness move I will be forced to take (though not one I object to) I will need to move to Vegas soon.

Does Vegas have suburbs around it? Or near it and connected by major roads? Or is everything pretty much all part of the Vegas metroplex? I've NEVER been out there before.

I'd really like to find a town with similiar demographics to mine but I have no clue where to start, how to search information like that, or even if they exist with how Vegas and the surronding regions are set up.

I should note the Conservative is more important then the Republican, and the middle class to upper middle class area with apartments is more important then living a tiny ways out of the city.

But does anyone know a place fitting what I described? Or how to find one on my own?

So, first of all my boyfriend is a is a big fan of George Strait, who is doing a concert at the MGM Grand in Vegas on February 2nd. (Boyfriend's birthday is March 2nd). We are long distance, he's in CA and I'm in AZ, but he's planning on staying with me in AZ for all of February, fortunately. So, I wanted to whisk him off to Vegas for the weekend because the concert is actually on a Saturday. I know it will be fairly pricey, so, I'm wondering if anyone has tips to make it as cheap as I can. Like what airlines/flights would be cheapest, and which hotels? Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is primarily for those of you who I see answering frequently on this site, providing thoughtful, precise and reasonable answers. Having read the questions we have had lately...does it drive you nuts for people who obviously know how to use a computer to ask how far it is from one place to another, when the whole world has to know how to mapquest or google or ask.com the answer to that question by now. Why do people not know how to look up a zipcode if they can find the answers site??? Why would anyone ever need to know how far it is from SA to the Vatican??
